SFTF Fair Trade Cotton School Uniform and Sportswear Campaign

The Forum has launched an exciting campaign to encourage pupils, teachers and parents to buy Fairtrade cotton school uniforms and sportswear.  The pilot campaign took place in schools in East Dunbartonshire and will now be rolled out across Scotland.  To find out more or to get involved, please click on the heading above, contact us at the email address above or download our leaflet here.

Thursday 6 October, 9:30am - 12:30pm    Cotton Briefing Session

The Scottish Fair Trade Forum held a briefing session on Fairtrade Cotton and Fairtrade Cotton Schoolwear on 6 October 2011 at the SFTF offices in Edinburgh.

Veronica Pasteur, Head of Campaigns at the Fairtrade Foundation spoke about the problems in the production of cotton and how Fairtrade addresses these problems.

Angela Oakley, Schools Advisor at the Scottish Fair Trade Forum provided information on Fairtrade Cotton Schoolwear.

Pupils from St Andrew's RC High School in Kirkcaldy presented their Fairtrade cotton hoodies.
